Welcome to the second issue of the SWEDESD Newsletter, where we show more learning outcomes from SWEDESD’s recent work.

	SUS Learning outcomes SWEDESD enjoys early signs of capacity development in the SUS programme, including new and deepened relations between stakeholders in each of the six cities; uptake of SUS-innovations in participating organisations; policy shifts (see for example correspondence regarding a draft policy from Dhaka in image) and enhanced networks for exchange of knowledge among the participating cities. 	ESSA Learning outcomes Using The Mission In the Eastern Cape, South Africa, the Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa (WESSA) has used the ‘The Mission’ as a pedagogic tool in three different settings. Read more
	International educators visiting SWEDESD During a two week workshop, running from the 5-16 of December educators from Europe and Africa met in Visby for the ESSA programme on education materials development. Read more
	SWEDESD collaboration with ICLEI In November SWEDESD signed a Memorandum of Agreement with ICLEI-Africa with a commitment to jointly develop the Supporting Urban Sustainability (SUS) programme during the period 2012 to 2016. ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability was instrumental in facilitating the signing of the ground breaking Durban Adaptation Charter,. Read more
	Supporting Urban Sustainability - regional workshops During November SWEDESD and its partners organized three regional workshops in Grahamstown (South Africa), Malmö (Sweden) and Ahmedabad (India). The African and Asian workshops were co-organized with SADC-REEP and CEE. Read more
	Pairing urban development and equity? Earlier this fall the science classes at the Stockholm Global College, year 2, were visited by SWEDESD Martin Westin. Read more

	Learning outcomes in Dhaka and Ahmedabad - Ahmedabad November 28-29 2011 SWEDESD together with CEE, facilitated a workshop in the SUS-programme in Ahmedabad on November 28th and 29th. Read more
